A Vikin', We Go

A Vikin', We Go

A Poem by therisa
"

A little historical fiction poetry.

"
Arovin'
My love has gone
Seeking fame
And fortune
For the family name.

Setting across
The seas unknown
Exploring new lands
To plunder
And settle upon.

Knowin'
No future exist
As the third born
Except this.

Hurry home
My love
The hearth grows cold
Without you
By my side.

As I pray
To Thor
For calm weather.

And Njörður
May He guide you
Safely back.

Keeping you
Away from Hel
And the Valkyries.
