Sharing my gratitude, for a very close friend.

Not a term

I use lightly

In describing

Our relationship

Of 8 + years.

Which time

You have seen me

At my worse

Mentally and physically.

Struggling

To find balance

In my life.

By becoming

My Rock of Gibraltar

You have offered me

Something more then

Mere friendship.

A sense of belonging

And family

From your extended clan.

Whether

They be

Two or four legged.

 

For which

I'm deeply grateful for

Every day.

Knowing

I have a special friend

Who I can share myself

And not be judged

Unfairly.

Thank you

This is really beautiful. Friendship is the fundament of love. Without it their can't be love in my opinion. I'm married for more than 30 years and it couldn't have lasted so long if there was not friendship where ou relationship is build on. Thank you for sharing this, Therisa. :)

I love this. There is something to be praised about such closeness. A bond of faithfulness between people can accomplish things. What things I don't know, but these can be good things, goals that we strive towards. We like people, we love them, and then we show our devotion to one another, even though we cannot be the end all be all for everyone though at times we think of that too and wish that everything could be complete that way, of course the world is surprising us always, not in ways we like to accept at first

Thank you, Laura Lynn. I know, without this friendship, I wouldn't be here, today. For we met, when I was suicidally depression, after my mom rejected me, as her child, for coming out of the closet, as a trans-lesbian. Through his help, I found the need resources, to begin my healing.
