Nothing Special, Just Me

Nothing Special, Just Me

A Poem by therisa
"

How my pharmacist describes me.

"
You tell me
I've a lot of inner strength
In facing my past.

And yet
I don't feel like
This special person
You talk about.

True
I have faced
Many traumatic events
In my life
Which I could've curled up
And surrender.

But
It's all part
Of my daily life
Like my chronic depression
And bouts of agoraphobia.

Just things
I must deal with.

Not
Whom I am
As a person.
