Getting The Balance, RightA Poem by therisaBlending the past with the present, for the future.Hello Is anybody home Question that bounces around My closing down mind. As I stand Like a deer caught In a truck's headlights With nowhere to go. Every mental change Is broadcasted Across my face For all to see. Opening up Another world And reality Populated by one Me. Where the simplest thing Becomes the hardest goal To achieve. Trying to balance My past pain With the need For growth And healing. Real change occurs Where the past And the present Blend together In equal parts To give us The future. Thus Able to face My traumatic past One event At a time In healing Myself.
