Impasse

Impasse

A Chapter by therisa
"

Writer's block.

"
Can feel it
At the edge
Of my mind.

Slipping through
My mental fingers
Like water
Through a sieve.

Frustration mounts
With each passing second
It evades me.

Wondering
Why try?

As head bashing
Is so last year
If you know
What I mean.

Still
I torment myself
Trying to do
The possible
From the impossible.

Releasing
A soft sigh
Of resignation.

As I question
My sanity
In continuing this.

Knowing
There's no release
For my tortured soul.

i like this poem a lot...writing about writers block is a perfect way to get passed it---
it starts the dam leaking.

Thank you, Jacob. Although, I don't recommend, you start head banging, any time, soon. :)
Well, look at that, you got some inspiration from your writers' block. This is amazing! Very well penned.

Thank you, Silent Raven. Sometimes, I get lucky, like this.
Just keep letting that ink flow my friend. Often the pen gets clogged up and runs slow, but keep pushing it and it will write smoothly again in no time. Nice one.

Thanks, Will. This is my 4th attempt today, to get anything down, which made any sense to me.
