Grief

Grief

A Chapter by therisa
"

'Nuff said.

"
Long silence
A body at rest.

Life
No more.

Anger pent-up
With no target
In sight.

Turned inward
Consuming the soul
Like a terminal cancer.

Tears burn
Down the face
Like a lava flow
Unabated.

Guilt and shame
Blended together
In the perfect smoothie
For a tainted soul.

Waiting for
That moment
For the pain
To end.
