Truce

Truce

A Chapter by therisa
"

Struggling with depression.

"
Back and forth
My mind goes
Unable to focus
On anything.

As if
ADHD has swallowed me
Whole
Clothes and all.

Jumping
From site to site
Seeing but blind
To the web page
Before me.

My mind
A huge etch-a-sketch
Constantly shaken
In all directions
By invisible hands.

Just want it
To stop
For a few hours.

Enabling me
A grace period
For my body and soul
To concentrate
On one thing.

Life
Without depression.

Thank you, Jacob, these comments mean a lot coming from you.
A well penned not on the daily struggle. I especially like the imagery of the Etch-A-Sketch.
