Another Repeat Engagement?

Another Repeat Engagement?

A Poem by therisa
"

Struggling with anxiety and agoraphobia.

"
A deep sigh
Escapes from me
As the past rushes forward
To bite me
In the backside.

Leaving me
To wonder
Will this
Ever end.

Being triggered
By the most innocent
Of things.

Feeling my anxiety
Reaching levels
Which the CN Tower appears
As a miniature toy statue
Tourists buy.

Wanting to run away
And hide
In my apartment.

Knowing
It'll never end
Once started
Until I'm drained
Of all energy.

As agoraphobia threatens
To digs its claws
Into me
Once more.

Having just escape
Its grasp
Two months ago.

Of course, I relate to the anxiety portion and past trauma. It grabs us when we least expect it and sucks the life right out of us. I especially like the lines referring to the CN tower.
two very minor things -- threatens and its in the agoraphobia stanza.
