Clearing The AirA Poem by therisaA deep sigh Leaves my lips As I write this. Feeling my anger rise To uncomfortable levels I haven't felt In years. Of the dogma Which blind smart people To the harsh reality Around them. As they shrilly scream "Discrimination" When I request equal rights For the LGBT community. Claiming moral And religious rights To continue their practices. When I'm the first person To defend their religious views Even though I disagree with them. A living religion Is one that adapts And grows With the community Around it. Not the rigid one You put forth Against people Like myself. Which Will die A painful death Over time.
