A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place

A Poem by therisa
"

A prayer written, during my summer long bout of agoraphobia.

"
Dear Goddess;

Please grant me
The needed strength
And courage
To overcome
My agoraphobic prison.

Able to feel the sun
Upon my body
As I walk outside
Without any anxiety
Or panic attacks.

Enjoying Squeak's company
While he inspects the hallway
Revelling in
Each new scent
He smells.

Savouring the small things
We take
For granted
In our daily lives
Denied to me.

Hope
My request
Isn't too much
Given the horrors
You must witness.

Allowing Your light
To brighten
A small corner
Of the world.
