The AttackA Poem by therisaMigraine headache. It's here I can feel it Deep within my soul Like a thrashing shark Feeding on it's prey. Each bite Brings it closer To my doom. As my soul bleeds out Into the once still waters Attracting others To the feeding frenzy. My soul cries out In a mute shout Swallowed up In the free-for-all. Sinking Ever lower Into the depth of despair And despondency. Watching myself Drifting away On the tempestuous waves Piece by piece. Leaving behind A mangled corpse Unrecognizable By anyone. While I withdraw Even deeper Into myself With each passing day.
