The Coming SeasonA Poem by therisaA bit of darkness.Darkness settles in Where light Once shone brilliantly Upon the soul. Tainting hope Until nothing remains But the bleakest of views Towards life. Sunlight A distant memory Of another time And place. Where everything appears In a different tone of light From everyday life Of today. As if The eyes have become blind And the other senses A vague shadow Of themselves. Like a person Who's stumbling around Trying to regain What was lost And failing. Scared Any dreams Will turn to dust On waking. Destroying What little remains Of life's glory.
