Thanksgiving Monday
A Poem by therisa
Reflections.
Silence of the soul Sound of healing Gentle touch Of companionship Communication Without words. Shutting the door Brief moment of peace Living life In the moment Without any pressure. Letting everything flow At it's own speed and pace Like water lapping Against the shoreline. Knowing Your presence is Always there When needed. As my body And soul recharges To face the world Once more.

I write like that too. And, all those little inspirations I store up are entirely intuitive.

I had quiet and peaceful Thanksgiving, with my three cats. In a way, this poem is, a "thank you" to them, for the comfort and support, given over the past year. Every day, I thank them, before going to sleep, for their love and acceptance of me, as I am.

Where dutch and Canadian dishes were served, side by side. Sadly, this has stopped, since the death of my oma, in 1996. Cousins would travel, from the US and other parts of Canada, to be there.

Her death hit my dad harder than me, as she died from cancer. I was one of her pallbearers. I do miss her, everyday, for her warmth and gentleness.

He had a massive heart attack. It took over a year, for my healing from his death. Please feel free to share, if you want, Benita.
