Now Or Never

Now Or Never

A Poem by therisa

I hear her song
Calling to me
Like the Siren did.

Offering
Her impossible promise
My soul yearns for.

Each passing day
My resistance weakens
Under Her influence.

Taking the plunge
Of no return
In my transition
As a woman.

A decision
Not taken lightly
But reached
Over many months
Of soul searching.

Given my closing window
For any surgeries
Due to health reasons.

Rather die
Then life my life
In this male body
Until the end
Of my lifespan.

The simplest and cheapest form of SRS, for me, would be, an orchiectomy, which the surgeon removes my testes, as a day surgry procedure, for about $1,000 (Cdn). Right now, my body and voice are totally passable, as female. This will change all of my "M" to "F", on my personal documents, including a passport, if I had one.
