Running Up That Hill

Running Up That Hill

A Poem by therisa
"

Needing to accept, every part of myself.

"
Trapped within me
She fights
Life and death
To escape
And express herself.

Standing defiant
Filled with confidence
Nothing can stop her.

Everything
I'm not
But wish for.

Scared her actions
Will backfire
And hurt us
As past experiences have.

And yet
I need her
So badly
My soul aches
From the intensity
Scares me.

Struggling to find
Middle ground
Acceptable to both
As I start my ascension
With her.
