That Elusive NeedA Poem by therisaWave after wave Of cold shivers Spreads throughout My body. Even though The temperature reads 23 degrees Celsius. Covering me In a thick layer Of goosebumps Several centimeters deep. My body craves The sweet embrace That sleeps brings To one's soul. But I know This won't happen Any time soon. No matter What I wish or want For myself. Adding another day To the debt Destroying me With each missed hour. Bringing me One step closer To the final sleep No one escapes From.
