A Moment's Feeling

A Moment's Feeling

A Poem by therisa
"

How I was feeling, yesterday afternoon (February 7, 2014)

"
Shattered
Like a glass cup
Upon a ceramic floor
My thoughts lay.

Jagged pieces
Piercing my soul
With each new thought
Generated.

Sense of helplessness
Permeates me
As nothing I do
Makes any sense.

Wondering
Why do I try?

When I know
I am being flooded
In negative emotions.

Corrosively
Eating away
At my confidence
With each passing second
On the clock.

As I find myself
Wanting
More than anything else
To curl up
And cry.
