Pledge Of IndependenceA Chapter by therisaMy reaction to those nations that have passed laws that make being a LGBT person, a criminal act.
Never again
Shall my head hang In shame For whom I am. Knowing the worse Humanity can do To others. For no prison cage Will contain my soul Behind iron bars Forged in hate. Your laws Can imprison me For being myself Even kill me. But never Shall the spirit Which inhabits my body Be bottled up. Rather Liberated In the glory of love And understanding.
