Never Ending PainA Poem by therisaTell me How does one Regain the ability To trust another soul? With secrets And the deepest love A soul can Ever experience With another person? When All they have known Is pain and betrayal By love ones And those Close to them? Where trust has Become an antonym For abuse and betrayal. As your previous hopes Come crashing down Around you Like an avalanche Of half remembered memories. Which Your ill-advised choices Flash before your mind's eye As you punish yourself Once again. Until your fear Becomes an overpowering force Entrapping you Within it's web. And isolation A solace Which numbs you As you watch others Walk-by Hand-in-hand. © 2014 therisaReviews
