Brotherly LoveA Poem by therisareaction to, a flashback, I had.I have known The true depth Which a soul descents Into Hell and back Again. Searing scorch marks Forever scars One's soul. Sense of helplessness Which grips you Like an iron vice Tightening up Each passing second You are held. Toying With your emotions Like a cat does With it's prey. Destroying your will Replacing it With a wish for death By any means. Denying the request For death As another layer of pain Is added For amusement. Only to Find yourself Waking up In sweat soaked bed. Trembling Like a deciduous leaf During a strong breeze On a hot summer day.
As the aftermath Replays before Your eyes. A past escape From Death's touch Which a family member Tried to kill you. © 2013 therisaAuthor's Note
