Early Monday Morning ObservationsA Poem by therisaHow my morning began.Another broken night's sleep For my exhausted body As Star lays sleeping By my side The alarm clock displays 2: 48 am. Gentle tugging On a blanket I cover Star Restroking a dormant engine As her purring grows louder From a faint whisper. Finding her paper ball Gently place it Between her paws Awakening A sleeping dynamo. As a smile spreads Across my face Seeing the whirling dervish Strike my bed Re-arranging everything. But I do not care For this is Quality time Spent with a love one Now resting At the foot of my bed. © 2013 therisaReviews
