Facing The Truth

Facing The Truth

A Poem by therisa
"

A moment of realization

"

Find myself

Sitting in the dark

Mulling things over

Best left alone

But I cannot.

One concerns

My ability to open up

And let people in

Which I do

With limited access.

For I will

Never completely open up

Even to

My closest friends.

As some memories

Are just too painful

To face

Again.

These barriers existence

Are not reflective

Of my mistrust

Towards you.

Rather

My own mistrust

Towards myself

That I need to re-earn

As I complete

My healing.

Excellent read and write. Live, love, laugh and learn, it gets better once we get past the pain, let go and heal, life may have left a scar, but even it is miraculously fades.

But some scars never fade, Brandon, this I know, the hard way.

The scar that remains is doubt, but understand the depth of sorrow.
