A Third SighA Poem by therisaHow I am feeling, over the past week. There are times Which I find myself Wondering Why bother. As I climb out From the razor-edged crater Of the latest crisis To explode upon me. My body A bleeding and mangled mess Barely held together By muscles and tendons. Wanting to crawl Into the nearest hole And hide away. Not caring If I have healed Totally. Only seeking To avoid future injuries As the scar tissue grows Ever thicker Upon my body And soul. Where A simple act becomes Complex and burdensome To accomplish. Taking longer And longer Each time To complete. Becoming aware Of the limited time I have left. © 2013 therisaReviews
