Flight Of The ButterflyA Chapter by therisaA dreamDo you not see My glorious wings Glistening in the sun As they unfurl before you After years of neglect And abuse. Fluttering above The petty hate and fear To a place Where love and acceptance Are the norm. With each stroke Gaining more confidence In myself and others Of the inner beauty We all possess. Glowing radiantly In my new found joy Surrounding my body Like the purest Of auras. As I try To cast aside the darkness Which I grew up For most of my life. How I wish You could join me As I flight across The surrounding landscape Observing the world For the first time Through new eyes. Even if Only for a brief time. © 2015 therisaAuthor's Note
