The Human Question

The Human Question

A Poem by therisa

A cypher

Modern day enigma

Feared by many.

Yet

An ancient occurrence

Within society.

Natural part of life

But some view it

As perverted.

An abomination

To the universe's

Orthodoxy.

But why then

Is it found

In other species

Beyond Homo Sapiens.

Neither shunned

Nor murdered

By other members

For being themselves.

And

We call them

Dumb animals.
