Dude Looks Like A Lady

Has society

Become so shallow

That looks are

Everything?

By choosing

Narrow categories

In the way

Which one classifies

Male/female.

Determining

What is appropriate

For either gender.

Never realizing

Such artificial divides

Harms those people

Born with amorphous

Characteristics.

Enabling them

To pass

As either gender.

Or

A transgender person

In the midst of transitioning

Into their true gender.

Not yet

Fully passing

For whatever reason.

Sigh.

Thought

We had moved

Beyond this type

Of parochial thinking.

Sadly

My belief

In society's advancement

Is wrong.

I don't think it's 'become' it always was...intriguing read on the subject, we are who we are and those people that can't accept it are lost in categorizing humanity. Pity really, good read.
