Learning To Step Into The LightA Poem by therisaPlease Bear with me As I am A stranger To positive attention. Having spent Too years As the object Of hate and ridicule. Where My internal voice Has become A source of self-doubt Questioning every move I will or have taken. Cutting Ever so deep Into my soul With relentless energy After every misstep Upon my journey. Until Questioning everyone's Actions and motives Becomes automatic Like breathing. Something I need and want To break. If true healing The type That lasts a lifetime And not a flash In the pan. Has a chance To set down roots And flourish In my soul. © 2013 therisa |
