Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by therisa

Sigh.

Please

Come out

I beg of you

For I know

You are here.

Do you not see

The angst

Your disappearance

Is costing me?

Finding myself

Caught within

In a viscous circle.

Of typing

Then erasing

The same words

Over and over

Again.

Are you amuse

Seeing my spurting fingers

Flailing upon the keyboard

In utter frustration?

How or what

Have I done

To deserve this?

As my tears

Threaten to soak

The library's computer

And keyboard.

i'm not sure we ever do anything to deserve writer's block...it just randomly picks poets to plug up...but writing about it is the best way to come out of the slump.

Except I have noticed that my emotional state does play a huge role, in the duration of the block, J.. read more
No soaking allowed!!!hate to tell ya but if this is writers block I want to catch it
you have used a vast assortment of words here-utter,spurting,flailing,viscous, so darn descriptive
even when you are not trying to write your writing truly
thank you for sharing

Holly, just write what feels nature, when constructing my verses. And your welcome.
