Double Standard

Double Standard

A Poem by therisa
"

A rant.

"

Tell me

Who gave you

The moral authority

Which you weld?

In casting

Your judgment

Upon others

From up high.

As you sit

In your lap of luxury

Drinking tea

In the finest bone china

And silverware

Money can buy.

Condemning those

Struggling to live

Their life

With a semble

Of normalcy.

While

Behind close doors

Your escapades are

Quietly sweep up.

Have you

Forgotten the vow

You made

When joining?

As you toss

The first rock

From your glasshouse.

boy girlie you sound a little upset here...and I love it!!
your emotions are so just there-is some one around you annoying?
the vow-they are always taken and then easily tossed aside truly
