Another One?

Another One?

A Poem by therisa
"

Mental health

"

Sigh.

How

Do I express

These emotions

That flow inside

Of me?

Like a tsunami

Of tears

And sorrow.

Threatening

To swamp the levees

So painfully restored

After the last one

Almost seven years ago.

Where

All landmarks

Of my soulscape were

Obliterated.

Burying

Those memories

Too painful to remember

In a communal grave site

Inland.

Grieving those memories

Carried out to sea

By the rogue wave.

Rebuilding

My mental structures

One painful brick

At a time.

As I replaced

Those structures

Deemed too rigid

For survival.

Hopefully

Stronger than before

Should the need arise

Once more.

Thank you, Sheema. Am still rebuilding myself.
i think you find many ways of expressing those emotions...and such that we the readers can feel them with you.
