Harsh Reality

Harsh Reality

A Poem by therisa
"

My current mood.

"

Closing my eyes

A pixelated world

Appears before me.

A paradoxical realm

Where reality

And fantasy

Intersect.

As

Animated

And live action characters

Mingle with each other.

Like the film

Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Or Cool World

Made real

In the flesh.

Where

The word impossible

Does not exist

In any dictionary.

Even for

A person

Like me.

Waking up

In a female body

Which is whole

And healthy.

But a fantasy

Lived for

One brief moment.

As

My eyes

Blink.

sometimes i want to be a cartoon character...no matter what they bounce back...like Wiley Coyote...

pick themselves up off the floor and carry on...for us sometimes in real life, that is so hard to do.
