Theif Of LoveA Poem by therisaYou come In the silence Between my heartbeats. Like A stealth thief Sneaking past My defences. Casing My soul Taking notes Of areas to avoid For future reference. Finding Locked rusty gates Enclosing my heart By past hurts. Overgrown With bloody thorns Baring the tattered remains Of my soul. Feeling Your presence As you misstep Ever so briefly Like someone walking Across my grave. Then Nothing More. As You walk away Looking for Richer target To take.© 2013 therisaReviews
