Untitled (March 27, 2012)A Poem by therisaReacting to the expulsion and later acceptance of a (Post-op) Transsexual, from the 2012 Miss Canada Pagent.Cold So cold Is the feeling Which grips My soul. As My soul is Flooded Once more With tears Of hopelessness. As The barriers are Slammed down Upon my community. Of Having to refight This battle Repetitively. In The creation of An artificial divide Where none Should exist. Between Those born Comfortable In their own skin And those Not. Why Does this need Still exist? Have We not Moved beyond Our primitive fear? By Embracing all Who lay claim to Any particular gender Whether or not They were born As such. Sadly I guess My judgment Is wrong.
