Transbashing

Transbashing

A Poem by therisa

Etched forever
In my mind
Which I shall
Never forget
Or want to.

As
I bear witness
To a crime of hate
And fear.

Which
Society had dismissed
As boys being boys
Never realizing
The true emotional
And psychological
Damage done.

Even now
Decades later
The bruises
Still remains.

Slowly
Fading to ochre
From an angry purple
Colour.

As
The faint outlines
Blurs and merges
Into the surrounding
Skin.

Yet
The pain remains
As strong as
It is today
As it was
Back then.
