Numb

How I have been feeling, lately.

Feel
So emotionally drained
As a sense of apathy
Fills me.

Drifting
So aimlessly
Around.

Where
Strong emotions
No longer exist.

As if
Functioning
On auto-pilot.

While
Going through
Life's motions
Like a robot.

Devoid
Of any characteristics
Which mark me
As human.

Beyond
Sleeping
And eating.

I suffer from chronic depression and am so tired of new anti-depressants, because of my body's chemical sensitivity to them.
