Sad Eyes

Sad Eyes

A Poem by therisa
"

How I see myself, at times.

"
When
You look
Into my sunken
Eyes.

What
Appears
Before you?

Looking
Upon my own
Reflection
I see.

A
Troubled woman
Trying to solve
A lifetime of problems
In a matter of days.

Whose
Very weight
Upon her shoulders
Has sent her
Crashing down
To the ground.

Overwhelming
Her sense of self-worth
Ability to cope
And see beyond
This current crisis.

As
She collapses
Further and further
Into herself.

Sigh.
