Just Another Gear

Just Another Gear

A Poem by therisa
"

When my poems flows for me.

"

Sigh.

Been a long
And hard struggle
To reach this point
In my journey.

As
A person
And in my healing
Which depression has
Always been
A part of my life.

Already
Accepted the fact
Will have medication
For the rest of my life
In handling depression.

Sigh.

Unlike others
Even medicated
Equilibrium is
Remains
Out of my reach.

But
This knowledge
Does not limit me
In expressing
Myself.

Rather
My most creative periods
Is my "manic" stage
During my depressions.

Where
Words flow
Like the finest silk
Through one's fingers.

Know
Using "manic" to describe
A stage of depression is
An oxymoron.

But
Best describes
How the words erupts
From my subsciencousness
To the computer screen.

Instead
When the word flow stops
That depression comes
Brutally crashing down
Around me.
