My Healing Time

My Healing Time

A Poem by therisa
"

nighttime, a time of dread and also, one of healing.

"

Hello
Nighttime.

See
You have arrived
Again.

Bringing
In your silence
The solace
Which my soul
Craves.

As
Others sleep
My soul hears
Your siren call
Of healing.

Allowing
Words to flow
Which I cannot speak
Outloud.

Of
My past sorrows
And injuries
Yet to be healed.

Without
Adding to them
As my words come out
Stuttered.

As
I rock
Back and forth
In my seat.

Thus
I find myself
Embracing
Your invisible arms
Around me.
