Seeking The Keys

Seeking The Keys

A Poem by therisa

Goddess
Why do people
Fear or hate me
When I have
Never met them.

Do
They not know
My life is
Hard enough
Without this
Additional burden?

In
Accepting
A beautiful woman
Exist within
This ugly male
Body.

Which
For years
I struggled
With this duality.

To
The point
I lost myself.

In
A mental fog
With suicidal thoughts
And multiple attempts
Seeking release.

All
Before the age
Of twelve years old.

Now
As I am
In my early forties
I understand
Whom I am
A transsexual.

Not
A sexual deviant
Or a sick pervert
Needing to be cured
By modern medicine.

As
Some people have
Told me.

Believing
They are saving
My life and soul
From damnation.

Goddess
How can I change
Those people?

Who
Refuse to
See the Light
Which my soul shines
Brightly.

Historically, there has always been a male/female deities. Even Judism had both a God and Goddess.
