If I am not cheering
Vigorously
For this positive
News.

 

Having
Personally experience
First hand
Transphobic reactions
With the police
And doctors.

 

In
Treating me
As a second class
Person.

 

Whom
Is not to
Be trusted
And to be viewed
Suspiciously.

 

Yet
Should I complain
Am told
That I am being
Oversensitive
On this matter.

 

As if
My transitioning
Is an affront
To society.
