Let's Love, Not Hate

Let's Love, Not Hate

A Poem by therisa
"

My answer to the Chick-fil-a debate. Yes, I'm a pre-op trans-lesbian.

"
Why
Should it matter
What gender
My partner is?

A
Question
Which I find myself
Asking.

Giving
The increasingly debate
Over a very personal issue
That honestly
Does not concern
You.

Who
I want
As my lover?

Sigh.

For
Love knows
No borders.

Nor
Should we
In accepting
Others.

I agree with the sentiment you communicate so well in your poem.
Is it anyone's place to judge? I think not.
Unless it's the writing. - This is very good.
I like the 'sigh' in the middle!
