Perfume and CigarettesA Poem by *joy*Most remember laughter Or a twinkle of the eye I remember the way she smelled And her smoky kiss good-bye
She always loved those leather pants And the bike she rode for kicks But what she loved more than the rest Were candied fumes and paper sticks
Never was she afraid to live Testing fate till it was spent Always carried two things with her Camels and her sweetest scent
Now she's being put underground And I doubt she had regrets But I can almost hear her saying I can't forget my perfume... or my cigarettes
