A little something i was told today,

A little something i was told today,

A Story by The Realist

...

An atheist said to a reverent:

Heaven is a fairy-tale for those
who are afraid of the dark

The priest replied:

Atheism is a fairy-tale for those
who are afraid of the light.

I really like this. I understand and respect the differences between religious and non religious people, but some part of me wanted to argue against the second half.
It makes sense to be afraid of the dark, since one cannot know what's in it. But if someone is afraid of the light, don't you think you should take a second look if you're not? Our senses can be deceiving.
Again, not trying to start an argument, just the thoughts that came to me after reading this.

It sure does :)
i really like the voice you have given in this poem ... easy to be accused of all kinds of short-comings when standing for the light ... perhaps true or not ... its the light that is uncompromised eh!?
