Another Mans ArmsA Poem by Laura LayThis poem means something to me and is very personal
Perhaps you have Forgotten
So I shall remind you That the lies you were caught in Were nothing beneath you You took the only thing that was mine My heart was stolen And over time You sold it No, scratch that You through it away You tossed it in the garbage A single word, you did not say You broke me So badly that I wondered if I was bruised The nights you were with her And then in the morn I was accused You loved but did not love me so Every time you came home it set off an alarm You loved me, but did not love me so And now you have the pleasure to see me in another mans arms
