A Lovely Oppurtunity

A Lovely Oppurtunity

A Poem by Shannon

F**k the haters
And forget the times
f**k the discriminators
And let loose the rhymes

Look a liar in the eye
And have him admit the truth
Take her by her hand, so shy
In her prime of gentle youth

Breath the scents of serenity
Wafting on breezes of war
Despite your close proximity
And your twitching battle scar

She can heal you know
She can fix your pain
For she has many things to show
In thought, in word, in rain

But listen closely to her
Or you wont be able to hear
A fire, a love, that is fiercer
Than any previous my dear

She can teach you how to dance again
She can make your heart sing
She can let your imagination loose and then
She can help you take wing.
