Face in the mirrorA Poem by Shannon
Did life mean so little
that for each tit and tat You flung forth a riddle And watched as they spat And from lonesome eyes You watch with a smirk And they weave their lies Through the mud and murk Now tell me true And mask it not What she says to you When you're with your lot Now put forth no deception And show me no fight Look forth to your reflection And make it right Shrink away slowly And slink away quick At the monster that only You can lick The face in the mirror the beast in the glass Run not in terror But wave at the lass Shake hands with your demon then chop off her head For if you don't man Your better off dead! © 2012 ShannonReviews
