Be youA Poem by Shannon
i can't see the keyboard
my visions blurring and i don't know how its happened how my thoughts have begun to fade what kind of fake standards do they expect me to reach they say "beauty is on the inside" but do they practice what they preach take a look in the mirror and what do you see? Do I see a beautiful person or a beautiful body staring at me? To whom does it ever concern how you look, what you say their standards are so stern but how do you live day-to-day? standards are for products and in case you can't see i'm not a product honey so quit trying to label me fat or skinny, who really cares? who could be really so shallow To set a preference according to what society will "allow" Just be you just be free because if you're not you i certainly don't want you to be me! © 2010 ShannonReviews
