Disgrace

Disgrace

A Poem by Shannon

What do you see
when you look in her face?
A pretty little play thing?
or a social disgrace?

She fell for you
can't you see?
And what did you do?
you ignored her plea

Some man you are
hero? More like a fiend
And now i wait for your turn
for your "good deed" to be redeemed

You ripped her apart
Left her in pain
Her heart in pieces
Bleeding out in the rain

And now you want her back?
After you left her for whats-her-name?
You know the chick that left you?
Are you afraid it'll happen again?

Is that why you're after her?
Think she'll never leave?
Well she's stronger i'm sure
Her hearts no longer on her sleeve

You see after you walked away
She picked herself up
Went right on with her day
She fixed herself

Because she's strong enough
To put her world back together
After you treated her so rough
Well now shes gone forever

Now who's the disgrace?
Now who's weak?
You are my friend
because you thought you were sleek ;)
