trail ablaze

trail ablaze

A Poem by Shannon
"

a "venting" write.

"
Hey, whoa
Take a step back
Take a good look
at the skills you lack

You can't save the day
With a bottle of jack
So take a good look
At the skills you lack

Learn from your mistakes
And hold someone close
Slam on the breaks
and Block the blows

Life's to short
To be living this way
A shame that we resort
To living for the pay

Paychecks and money
That's all they say
All they care about
Living for the pay

So, pause, stop this show
Take a step back and watch it go
Stop with the fighting
Stop with the pain

Just get used to being
Take a walk through the rain

Just don't waste your life
Go start a flame

And watch it burn
And watch it proclaim

That a new trail
Has been set ablaze

And that it will never fail
Your, trail ablaze.

Wisdom in your words. You are correct. Better to find your own road and celebrate being alive. Most people are like cattle. Being led to the slaughter. They believe we have no choices. We have a millions choices to select in a life. Trail ablaze. A outstanding poem.

Good stuff, definately good stuff. Cuts to the quick and makes you want to self examine where are you going and such. Very cool write.
