Angele de la muertes .1

Angele de la muertes .1

A Poem by Shannon
"

one of a series of poems i plan to write on Angele de la muertes (The angel of death)

"
Deaths hand lay heavy upon my brow
attempting to comfort me
though she knows not how
in her job she takes no glee
feeling remorse for each soul she takes
Sighing as she witnesses each last breath
these poor hearts, no matter how high the stakes
Attempt to avoid this angel of death
"such a shame"
she murmurs half to herself
"Am I to blame?"
She wonders aloud
And then she guides me, into the flame
